Social care active members have been a game changer for the sector.
As an active member you pledged to get active in your workplace, to build a strong UNISON and win changes to transform UK social care into a respected and valued public service where care workers are empowered, celebrated, and fairly rewarded.
You must work in social care and have made the active member pledge (appearing in UNISON’s membership system as an active member on/before 12 March 2026). Your branch must approve and pay for your space. Places are very limited so please only register if you can make it.
What will the course help me to do?
- Review and learn from the collective and individual achievements of active members to date
- Develop a practical understanding of organising and how to build power in your workplace
- Analyse results of the Eastern region social care member survey
- Work with each other to develop ideas and strategies to address the survey findings in Eastern region
- Be involved in planning to campaign on the fair pay agreement
- Network with other active members and find out about opportunities to work with your branch
