The Black members education weekend is back for 2025!
This year’s theme is Organising to Win, UNISON’s new approach to organising that builds more power for workers.
Attendees will be able to take part in the new Organising to Win in Your Branch workshop on Saturday, before tucking in to an African and Caribbean banquet.
On Friday afternoon, UNISON Eastern regional secretary Tim Roberts will be on hand to welcome delegates, alongside a mystery MP.
Sunday will see Thompsons Solicitors provide a legal briefing and workshop on learning from race cases.
The weekend isn’t just about learning, it’s also a fantastic chance to network with your fellow Black activists from across the region.

Your branch is responsible for paying your delegate fees and travel costs so please check with your branch secretary before registering. Once you fill in the form below it will go to your branch secretary to confirm they’re happy for you to attend.
Registration closes on 27 June. UNISON staff will be in touch at the beginning of August to confirm whether you have a space or a place on the waiting list.
