For 60 years Cuba has been subjected to an illegal blockade and sustained interference in its internal affairs by the United States.
Despite the economic hardships and shortages caused by the illegal blockade, Cuba has been a beacon of internationalism around the world.
During the current Covid pandemic, more than 4,000 Cuban medics have worked alongside health workers in 40 countries around the world to fight the virus.
