We know our Activists have to deal with situations that very often are/become difficult and challenging for a whole host of reasons. So, we are pleased to be able to offer this externally facilitated one day course to those who want to develop skills and strategies for dealing with those situations, where they face anger, hostility, frustration and other emotions from others that they are trying to assist.
This course will help participants to:
- understand the importance of body language [yours and others] and what it might be saying
- identify different behaviour traits in yourself and in others
- develop positive strategies to deal with difficult situations
- develop and practise assertive techniques to help when dealing with a difficult situation
- understand the importance of good note taking in difficult and challenging scenarios
- improve member interviewing skills to avoid escalation
