Disabled members training weekend

3 – 4 October 2025

London Luton Vale Hotel

The UNISON Eastern disabled members training weekend was such a success last year we are going to do it all again in 2025!

We’ll cover managing disability in the workplace with an Organising to Win session to empower members and branch officers to challenge employers, a legal briefing on a successful disability discrimination case from Thompsons solicitors and the rep that supported the member, and Julie Ryder from Hear First will be holding an interactive session with us about deaf awareness.

We will also be holding our regular disabled members committee meeting for all disabled members and equality/disabled member officers in the region.

The weekend is an opportunity to share experiences and know-how, network with others and join together to build a stronger disabled members presence in UNISON Eastern.

We will have fun too with a quiz and raffle!

Registration closes at 12 noon on Friday 15 August.
