UNISON Eastern is offering a fantastic range of courses just for members in social care.

These courses will help you gain the skills to do your job more effectively.

As well as behaviour that challenges, we have sessions on dementia awareness, end of life care and record-keeping.

What will the course cover?

  • Explain why some behaviours may be seen as challenging.
  • Describe a range of underlying causes for challenging behaviour and the function of these for the individual.
  • Identify potential to triggers for challenging behaviour.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents of challenging behaviour.

About the trainer

Keith Jones will facilitate the session.

Keith has worked as a consultant in health and social care for 22 years. He began his career as a mental health nurse, then moved into adult nursing and continues to work as a ward sister.
