UNISON Eastern Region is looking for a temporary local organiser to support its organising agenda while the current post holder is on secondment to UNISON Centre. The successful candidate will recruit new members and work with regional organising teams, mapping membership density and campaigning to develop new activists.  To undertake this role you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the trade union movement. Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a similar organisation would be an advantage.

This role will be to support UNISON branches in the Norfolk and Suffolk area team and would be based in Bury St Edmunds. You will need to be prepared to travel within the region as required, including to our regional office in Chelmsford and also to London on an occasional basis for training or other purposes.
