About this job

A number of UNISON’s Bedfordshire branches, working together, are looking for two enthusiastic and resourceful administrators to help support UNISON members and local branches by taking part in this exciting opportunity in the new Bedfordshire Resource Centre. This involves working mainly afternoons but with some flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.

The successful candidates for these posts will be experienced team players, have good communication and time management skills, including the ability to organise their own workload and effectively manage priorities.

You will need to undertake a range of administrative duties to support our members and activists including often working to tight deadlines and being responsible for updating and maintaining accurate and confidential records. As the first point of contact for our members you will need to be a confident communicator. You will have excellent IT skills and be highly motivated and organised.

You do not have to have a trade union background, but you do need to have an understanding of the aims and values of the trade union movement.

Some lone working may be required and you may be required to travel for training purposes.
