About this job
The successful candidate will recruit new members and identify and mentor new activists. The candidate will identify key workplace issues that will engage public service workers. Analysis of membership data and workplace information will ensure appropriate decisions are made about how and where to dedicate resources.
To undertake this role you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the trade union movement and previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a similar organisation would be an advantage.
This role will be to support UNISON branches primarily in the Essex area and would be based in Chelmsford. You will need to be prepared to travel within the region as required including to our regional office in Bury St Edmunds and also to London on an occasional basis for training or other purposes.
