UNISON member Julie Barnes has made an impassioned plea for health staff to make sure they wear PPE and keep washing their hands to ward off the threat of long Covid.
Julie, a vehicle technician and workshop supervisor who works for the East of England Ambulance Service in Herts and Bedfordshire, has shared her experience of Covid-19 in a video for the trust.
She caught the virus in April but felt more ill in September as she continued to suffer the effects.
UNISON echoes her calls to maintain social distancing measures and ensure proper PPE and infection control protocols are followed.
There is light at the end of the tunnel but we urge everyone to do all they can to prevent further spread of the virus.
