Regional organiser Jeff Keighly recently spoke to the Eastern Daily Press (EDP) about the situation at the Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCH&C).
In an article published in today’s edition of the paper Jeff describes the impact that downbanding and pay cuts have had on staff morale and contrasts this with the high salaries paid to some senior managers. Figures obtained by the EDP show that while salaries paid to board members has increased by 18% since 2014 average staff pay has fallen by 3% over the same period.
He also points out that bullying and haressment of staff is a major problem and that only 60% of staff believe that patient care is the Trust’s top priority.
