Elections for the national executive council begin on 3 April
It is time to choose who speaks for you. Elections are being held for all seats on UNISON’s national executive council, the governing body of the union.
It is important that our NEC reflects the union’s membership and that you take your chance to have your say. The people you choose will make big decisions about your union, its policies and how it is run for the next 2 years.
The Eastern Region has three seats on the NEC and all three are being contested. The candidates for each seat are:
Female: Kelley Green, Sarah Crowe
Male: Jonathan Dunning, Isaac Ferneyhough, David Devereux, Mark Trask
Reserved: Pauline (Polly) Smith, Jean Thomas
As well as the election of regional representatives, elections will also take place for service group and national respresentatives to the NEC.
A list of candidates (and those elected unopposed) for all seats on the NEC can be viewed on the national website.
A ballot paper will be sent to all eligible members at their home addresses, together with information on the candidates, from 3 April 2017. The ballot closes on 28 April.
If you have not received your ballot paper by 11 April please call 0800 0857 857. Lines are open 6am to midnight, Monday to Friday and 9am to 4pm on Saturday.
Further details on how the ballot will be run can be found on the national website.
