Are you a people person with good listening and problem solving skills? Do you possess the determination to make a difference to people’s lives? We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual to support our branch.

The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills to the role, undertake case work and be able to develop and deliver recruitment and organising initiatives and campaigns in our branch.

You will have excellent presentation skills and communication skills, both face-to-face and on paper. A sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives is essential along with a good understanding of UNISON’s policies and objectives. Essential to this role is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a wider team.  You must be able to work effectively under pressure and prioritise work.  You should be familiar with issues facing schools and the Community and Voluntary sector.

The Branch office is located in Hertford but covers all of Hertfordshire. The position will be Hertford based and the post holder must be able to travel in Hertfordshire. Car expenses will be provided.
