16 June 2015 3:00pm–6:00pm
Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London, SW1A 0AA
Following the announcement of a 24% cut to the adult education budget in England a major campaign was launched to save further education and we are calling on everyone to help by signing and sharing the Petition which now has over 39,858 signatures The cuts of up to a quarter in funding for adult learning courses risk destroying further education provision and leaving millions of the most vulnerable adults without access to any opportunity to improve their education. Campaign partners will be holding a lobby of parliament at Westminster on the afternoon of Tuesday 16 June 2015. We will also use the opportunity to hand in our petition against the cuts. Newly elected MPs will be asked to stop the cuts and commit to properly funded lifelong learning.
Assemble: 2pm, Parliament Square and then lobby and meeting with speakers between 3pm-5pm at Houses of Parliament.
If you are able to attend and meet with your MP then please let us know here: http://fefunding.org.uk/attending-the-lobby/
