We are pleased to offer an abbreviated version of our popular assertiveness for women course tailored specifically for young women.
Who is the Course for?
The course is designed for young women members, activists and reps in UNISON Eastern region and has been commissioned by the Eastern region Young members Committee.
What will the course help me to do?
This one day session is designed to focus on some of these areas as follows:
Understand the meaning of assertive, passive and aggressive behaviour,
Consider the nature and impact of behaviour on ourselves and others,
Become more aware of differing behavioural styles,
Discuss the value of assertive behaviour for women members of the union;
Develop a more assertive approach to a range of situations;
Feel more confident as women, and in our role in the union.
When does the course run?
The course will run on 7 September 2022. You will be required to be online from 10am to 2pm. There will be a short refreshment/lunch break.
The course will be facilitated by Microsoft Teams. A link to join the course will be sent to you nearer the time.
How much does the course cost?
There is a small cost of £10 to your branch, who will be invoiced once the course has been completed.
