About this job

There has never been a more important time to protect our members in the public services and encourage those that are not members to join a powerful voice. Are you a people person with good listening and problem solving skills? Do you possess the determination to make a difference to people’s lives?

To undertake this role you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the trade union movement and previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a similar organisation would be an advantage. As these posts will require working with schools, requests for periods of annual leave during term time are unlikely to be approved

The full time post holders will be asked to focus their work in one of the six counties in our region: Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Their office base will either be Chelmsford or Bury St Edmunds.  The part-time postholder will work in either Hertfordshire or Essex and will be based in the Chelmsford office.

You need to be prepared to travel within the Eastern region as required and to London on an occasional basis for training or other purposes.

How to apply

Details of how to apply, including application forms and more information, are available on the national website.
