About this job
There has never been a more important time to protect our members in the public services and encourage those that are not members to join a powerful voice. Are you a people person with good listening and problem solving skills? Do you possess the determination to make a difference to people’s lives and actively campaign for public services.
The successful candidate will recruit new members and work with regional organising teams, mapping membership density and campaigning to develop new activists. To undertake this role you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the trade union movement and previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a similar organisation would be an advantage. You may have developed the skills and attitude we need in a range of different jobs or voluntary work.
The post holder will need to be prepared to travel within the region and also to London on an occasional basis for training or other purposes.
