More than 140,000 people have signed a petition against forcing all local authority schools to become academies – why not join them?
To assist branches UNISON has produced updated guidance on our members TUPE rights under an academy conversion process. This guidance also contains information on the consultation process that schools should undertake prior to any final decision on academy conversion.
UNISON has produced a Living Wage Implementation Plan for branches to submit in local academy, trust or free schools. UNISON has now negotiated Living Wage agreements covering over 50% of schools in the UK including a large number of academy schools.
