The 2024 UNISON Eastern Labour Link annual general meeting and forum will be held at UNISON Centre in London. It is open to any Labour Link-affiliated UNISON member in the Eastern region.

The forum and AGM will
- Receive the secretary’s and chair’s reports from 2023,
- Review the annual spend from regional budget 2023 and set budget plans for 2024,
- Elect the 2024 committee (committee members must be full Labour Party members) and confirm dates for any set meetings,
- Confirm regional motions to UNISON’s Labour Link national forum,
- Confirm delegates to the national forum from Eastern region,
- Confirm delegates to Labour’s national conference from Eastern region to make up UNISONs delegation,
- Hear from an Eastern Labour MP with a Westminster update and plans for 2024,
- Receive an update from the national committee.
Lunch and any travel expenses will be provided from UNISON Eastern regional Labour Link budget.
About the committee
The regional committee is made up of UNISON Eastern members who must also be full Labour Party members. It meets quarterly (or ad hoc as necessary) to link UNISON and Labour in the Eastern region.
If you wish to stand for the 2024/25 committee, please download and complete the form — including which seat you are hoping to represent — and return it to Sara by 1pm on Thursday 15 February.
Please note nominations for the equalities seats should come from the relevant committee.
Valid nominations will be contacted in February 2024 for expressions of interest for the role of committee chair for 2024/25, which will be elected by the new committee.
