UNISON activists were delighted to sign up 20 new members from across the East of England Ambulance Service at a two-day clinical briefing in Newmarket this week.
Four branch reps went along to staff a UNISON stall, leaping on the opportunity to speak to the 400 attendees from all geographical and operational areas of the trust about all the issues affecting them.
Our reps were bombarded with questions about what’s going on at the trust but were able to reassure people that UNISON’s EEAS branch is fighting hard for the benefit of ambulance workers.
Plenty of people there commented how good it was to see UNISON reps flying the flag at the briefing – and with 20 new members signing up the reps though it was a couple of days well spent too!
