Probation staff vote to strike over pay

NPS and CRC UNISON members have voted decisively for industrial action over the 0% pay offer for 2014.

The ballot questions asked members:

  • Are you prepared to take part in a strike?
  • Are you prepared to take part in action short of a strike?

UNISON asked members to vote yes to both questions.

The results were as follows:

Votes Cast – 937

Number voting YES – 669

Number voting NO – 246

Invalid voting papers – 22

 

Are you prepared to take part in action short of a strike?

Votes Cast – 937

Number voting YES – 761

Number voting NO – 104

Invalid voting papers – 72

 

UNISON’s National Probation Committee will meet tomorrow (Thursday 21 May) to consider the outcome of the ballot result and further information will be issued following that meeting.
