The referendum on the UK’s membership of the European Union takes place on 23 June. It is probably one of the most important decisions that we will make as a country for many years to come. The outcome of the vote will affect not just us but our children too. But will YOU be able to take part?
If you’re not on the electoral roll then the answer is no. And if you are registered to vote but won’t be able to get to your local polling station on 23 June you’ll need either a postal or proxy vote.
If you’re not already registered to vote you can do so at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote The deadline to register is midnight on 7 June.
