As part of the UNISON Eastern One Weekend 2024, we are offering a series of workshops to help members and activists get to grips with specific topics.
This workshop is for experienced stewards and follows on from the morning workshop on migrant workers. It will be useful if you attend the morning workshop on Migrant workers’ rights.
It runs on the Saturday afternoon.
What will the course help me to do?
This workshop will include
- A brief look at the issues migrant workers can experience in the workplace,
- What can be done to resolve these issues,
- How migrant members can access specialist advice and support,
- A look at UNISON’s model policy for the recruitment, support and retention of migrant workers,
- Developing an action plan.
